i have been inspired by the many amazing places i have lived all over our country…the hard edges of street artists in nyc, the natural organic art growing in the pacific northwest as well as my more simple surroundings in dubuque iowa. since i was diagnosed with color blindness as a small child, painting for me is about experimenting with color and contrasts and feeling free to do whatever.
