Photography artist specializing in urban, rural, landscape, architecture, and modern photography.
I picked up my first serious camera in 1980. After several fits and starts my mother’s art inspired me to get serious about photography. Now that I am retired I spend every day on my art planning, shooting, and editing. I seize every day with a camera in my hands.
You can find some of my art at Permanent Collections Gallery of Art, 921 Central Ave, downtown Fort Dodge, IA. Contact them if you are interested in an exhibit of your art, or would like a consignment. Kevin Crimmins and son Ted own and operate the gallery. 515-570-0604.

Artist Staement
I use the latest digital camera technology along with techniques used with film cameras. This allows me more freedom to create in-camera while shooting. The digital darkroom offers an infinite array of possibilities when I want to expand beyond the camera.
I create images that reflect my aesthetic values. Nature touches everything, human, animal, synthetic or natural. I am motivated to capture nature’s indelible mark in all images.
Each season of life is a new beginning offering new perspectives. Every subject continues to change with the seasons. My art is to share what I see and what nature touches.
Bob Wood lives in Fort Dodge, Iowa with his wife Karen and “Lucky” the wonder dog.
