I live here in Iowa on a family farm with my husband and all of my four legged friends.
I learned that in the cold winters of Iowa,you need something to do, in order not to get a severe case of cabin fever. that is what has led me to my passion. Mosaic. I had fallen in love with casting white portland cement, it is so wonderful to work with. At first i left the cement plain, to glow in the moonlight. But now, i find i enjoy the color of tiles on the white cement as well. I cast my plaques myself, i dont use wood backing. I prefer the cement to tile onto. I am a novice at this,self taught, and still stumbling,but, enjoying it all the way through.
