Bio
I was born and (pretty much) raised in Cedar Rapids IA. I now reside there. I did little else then travel and throw Frisbees around at parks the vast majority of my twenties. In my thirties, I have looked in on the roots,
dug a few ditches and planted some extra seeds…
My Inspiration and Motivation-
Is to simply see and share in everything the possibility of wholeness.
Medias
Writing-
Most of what turns me on about writing is that it only takes a second to jot down a thought.
When I write I usually use a golf pencil, one that has an eraser on it. Often these thoughts are printed on the back of receipts that are tucked into my wallet. Long ago I discovered the wisdom of intentionally scattering pencils in every little corner I could find. It has always paid its dividends. Sometimes in thought, and sometimes in laughter. Perhaps the greatest moment I’ve had while writing is when I found out that it is perfectly okay to use inspiration and minimalism all in one sentence. Whether they catch it or not, writing is like a Frisbee, it’s hard to find somebody that hasn’t given it a whirl.
Drawing-
When it comes to universal contact there is no more universal way to communicate.
It doesn’t get any better then what that possibility presents.
Honestly again like writing I use the eraser about the same amount as I do the graphite.
Funny thing is that when I use the eraser as much the lead. I end up back where I first started.
Photography/Digital Art-
For the most part computers retard me but I do love to do digital art.
I don’t usually have to alter the abstractions that I like to catch with my lens.
Though sometimes it is fun to twist the pixels.
After the birth of my daughter I discovered I could be good at taking pictures of people. Turns out I just needed the right motivation to get started. Now I love taking pictures of people.
Painting-
At the end of the day I usually find brushes to needy for my liking. So I prefer to finger paint.
Pastels are my favorite to use. If all of my fingers aren’t a different color I may not be as happy as I could be.
Other Medias of Interest~
Almost everything. But here are three other favorites of mine; people, crayons, and bleach.
