Linda Ross is a mixed media artist from Wever Iowa. She has run Chestnut hill Pottery for nearly 25 years, Recently she opened a local art shop, The Artisans Next Door, next to the historic Ivy Bake Shooppe in Fort Madison. www.artisansnextdoor.com
Linda’s creative forces are often influenced by her love of nature and the ebb and flow of everyday life. Every personal connection has meaning and can spark inspiration that sends her off in new directions. Each media tends to build upon the next and intertwine their processes. Working with different concepts in her head, work flows from head to hands almost effortless. The process is both conscious and intuitive as she is guided from one project to the next, often working on many at once. New explorations include collage work mixed with clay, a
great new buttery matt glaze, sculpture and nuno felting. Life is one “big experiment” and she loves every minute.
