I was born and raised in Dubuque, IA. Primarily, my art in the past has focused on my love for nature and I used all sorts of medias while learning in college. I lived the last 6 years in Cedar Rapids. I am now starting my life over with having moved back to Dubuque after 16 years of marriage. I am becoming a strong, single mother of my two loving and very smart children whom both have Autism. Brandon is 6 1/2 years old and Katelynn is 4 1/2 years old. They are making great progress in their attentive span and speech, learning their numbers, letters, coloring and problem solving with jigsaw puzzles.
My planned future art projects are to be focused on sustainability with non-toxic materials, expressing the joy and stuggles of Autism especially with my children and others I know and about expressing myself through showing the joys and struggles of being a Mom, and a Strong, Independent New Woman. I also hope to work more in residential Interior Design in homes to help people realize their whole home can be a beautiful functional, sustainable and healthy form of art to live in, enjoy and cherish everyday.
